Professional Knowledge

The purpose of the Professional Knowledge Professional Practice Standard is to ensure that every teacher possesses the appropriate knowledge of subject matter, as well as effective strategies for presenting and communicating this knowledge to the students.  This standard guarantees that every teacher is well equipped to provide the best instruction for his or her students. Implementation of this standard is vital for student growth and achievement as it holds teachers accountable to the demands of their profession.  Without this standard, educators may be unsuccessful in their teaching efforts and student learning will suffer as a result. A commitment to this standard is evident in my coursework and licensure test scores (Praxis II , VCLA , RVE).
